1962 French Film, 29 minutes, shot entirely of a series of still frames, entirely narrated. World War III has occurred, Paris has been obliterated, and the survivors have retreated into a subterranean existence. A prisoner is sent through time/memory in order to allocate resources to the survivors of the war, but also serve to tie up the central paradox of why he was chosen to be sent.
